Numbers & data
Are the AI engine answers real? Yes. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity answers are read from the real consumer product through scraping vendors. Qwen, DeepSeek and Doubao answers come from each vendor's official API with web search on, which approximates the consumer app. Your prompt is sent as written and citations come only from the sources the engine returned. Every run is labeled; see Data sources.
How fresh is the data? GEO runs when you start it. Scraped engines finish within minutes to an hour, and DeepSeek off-peak runs wait for 22:00 to 08:00 Beijing time. Rank checks run on each project's setting (daily or weekly at 07:30 UTC, or off), GSC daily (05:20 UTC), Bing daily (05:40 UTC) and audits weekly (Monday 06:00 UTC). Growth Agent analyses run when you start them. Manual triggers exist for every scheduled job. Search Console data has Google's usual 2–3 day reporting lag.
Do I need DataForSEO or GSC? Not to evaluate: in demo mode the product runs fully without them (sample SERP data, mock AI engines). In production, SEO rank/research requires DataForSEO and Search Analytics requires GSC — there is no silent fallback. Connecting them upgrades the corresponding numbers to live data — each surface is labeled with what it's using.
Usage & billing
What happens when the balance runs out?
Nothing half-broken: every paid action first holds its maximum cost. If the
balance cannot cover it, the action returns 402 before anything is sent.
Rank checks already running stop at the keyword that no longer fits.
Does usage expire? Included usage lapses at the end of its billing period. Usage packs are valid for 365 days from payment. Settings → Billing shows each expiry date.
What happens when I cancel? Paid actions stop at the end of the paid period. Projects, keywords, prompts and history stay.
Is there a trial? No. Free features need no card. The subscription is $10 a month and includes $10 of usage.
Security & access
What can an API key do?
Everything read with a read key; mutations need read+write. Organization
management (billing, members, keys) is never reachable via API keys —
session login only.
Can I use MCP with my AI coding tool? Yes — Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode connect to the same data the dashboard shows (Cursor and any other MCP client work too). See the Developer Guide.
Which languages does the product support? The app and docs are bilingual (English / 简体中文); your account language also drives transactional emails.
